WELCOME!
Welcome to my massage practice; I am very pleased to have the opportunity to introduce my work to you. I offer massage--Deep Tissue, Swedish, Pre- and Post-natal--as well as Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation and other advanced approaches from my current course of study at the Canadian College of Osteopathy (CCO), Toronto.
My massage work varies in approach. I usually incorporate techniques from my recent studies, as appropriate, depending on your needs and goals for the session. In order to be able to incorporate these intelligently, I ask all my clients to schedule an extra 30 min on their first visit, so that I may have time to do a medical history intake and an assessment. There is no charge for this extra time.
Because my course of study at the CCO is not yet completed, I am offering a significantly reduced fee schedule for sessions that consist only of the techniques I am learning there (please see the Modalities page for a detailed description). The work is very relaxing, but more therapeutically oriented, so that, depending on the session, I may be moving you about quite a bit. In other words, you may not be able to get a nap in.
In addition, I invite you to be part of my training by coming in for my practice sessions. There is a small fee of $20 for these two-hour sessions, during which I practice a pre-determined set of techniques on a particular part of the body (for example: Lung, Bones of the Face, Lower Limb, TMJ, Lower Back, Large and Small Intestines). I will be posting a revolving list of topics I wish to go over, along with a description of some issues that may be helped by work in a given area. This way, you can sign up for a topic that you think may be particularly relevant to you.
